At Body Agility our Physiotherapy team members are highly qualified with extensive clinical experience in the management of neurological conditions (ie: Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Acquired Brain Injuries, Strokes, Multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's Disease, and Spinal cord injuries and spinal surgery rehabilitation).

 

We are also experienced in the management of musculoskeletal problems, pre-surgical fitness preparation, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, work injuries, arthroplasty (joint replacement rehabilitation), trauma rehabilitation, joint reconstruction rehabilitation, chronic disease management, spinal surgery rehabilitation and pain management. 

Our Physiotherapy Team

  • Our Senior Physiotherapist, Nina Barker, possesses qualifications in neuroscience, psychology and physiotherapy and is also endorsed for neurorehabilitation. Nina has a special interest in both geriatrics and paediatrics and has worked around the world.

  • Our Physiotherapist, Katherine Melanko, is a certified Cancer Rehabilitation Physiotherapist, and has extensive experience in cancer rehabilitation (and oncology-related conditions), sports medicine and musculoskeletal conditions. Katherine is also highly experienced in the management of neurological conditions, vestibular conditions, chronic back pain, headaches, pre and post-surgical rehabilitation; and has a special interest in ankle and knee injury rehabilitation. 

  • We also have another Physiotherapist coming soon, who has a special interest in paediatrics, neuro-physiotherapy, disability management and assistive technologies. She has extensive clinical experience in assessing and treating patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Chromosomal Abnormalities, Neurological Degenerative Conditions, Spina Bifida and spinal cord injuries and is also experienced in providing assessments and interventions covering areas such as mobility and gait analysis, functional capacity assessments, functional task analysis, falls risk assessments, manual transfer plans and manual task risk assessments, general musculoskeletal and neurological assessments, exercise programs, coordination / balance assessments, postural and seating assessments (for assistive technology prescription) and much more.

  • We have no wait times at all due to our unique operating model.

  • If you are a Support Coordinator, Specialist Support Coordinator, Psychosocial Recovery Coach, Plan Manager or Local Area Coordinator, we would be delighted to work with you.   • If you are a Plan-Managed or NDIA managed NDIS Participant, please contact us so that we can create a Service Agreement in partnership with you to support the achievement of your NDIS goals.

We allow a minimum of 30 minutes per in-clinic / studio initial consultation (for private patients) and we only treat one person per appointment time to ensure your privacy and our complete focus on you and your needs.
