Koko has experience working with patients of all ages, but particularly children and young people. Koko has an understanding of children's physical and mental development stages, anatomy, physiology and how to maximise and enhance quality of life for the whole family through evidence-based therapy and integrated disability management. 

 

Koko can assist with:

• attention and concentration

• fine motor skills (eg: grasping & handwriting)

• gross motor skills (balance, climbing, running, etc)

• eating and drinking (limited food choices, fear of food)

• learning (remembering, planning, problem solving)

• self care (dressing, toileting, brushing teeth, etc)

• play and social skills

• sensory, behavioural  and emotional regulation

• and visual awareness and communication.

 

Koko has experience in prescribing, trailing and showing how to use adaptive equipment / assistive technologies; ADL / Home Assessments, Functional Capacity Assessments, AT assessments (adaptive equipment / assistive technology assessments) and recommendations.

 

Koko has previous experience as a Remedial Massage Therapist and Support Worker, providing person-centred care for people with disability.
